From concept to COMPLETION

Picture
To create high quality fine art prints from your original artwork, you've come to the right shed! Stage 1 is photographing your original and using what's called a colour passport (seen above with the painting) which enables us to create a bespoke colour profile. This helps to make colour adjustments before the next stage.

Now there's a high quality digital file of your original which we work on in the studio (aka the shed) to the point where we're happy with how it's looking on the monitor. Now it's time for the first test print which is compared to the original for fine tuning until the print is the best interpretation of the original as possible. Like all creation, it's an art not an exact science!

Here comes the collaboration. Together, we compare the test print and once agreed that we're happy with the way that it's looking, you are ready to begin ordering prints at any size up to A1.  The world's your oyster if you want to try specially ordered papers depending on whether you want open or limited edition prints. Our 'house' ones are a 210g decor smooth art paper for open edition prints and a 280g slightly textured cotton paper for limited edition prints, both of which are tried and tested for outstanding results. Papers are acid-free and archival to compliment the archival inks used by the printer, so you can be sure they are going to last.
